The more you get
involved in the Greater North Miami Chamber,
the greater the benefits to you and your company.
Here
are some of the ways we give you
a chance to connect and network
Luncheons:
More than 100 key players from the local business and
political communities regularly attend these luncheons, held the
fourth Wednesday of every month at the Miami Shores Country Club.
Past speakers have included U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno,
Superintendent Merrett Steirheim, broadcaster Hang Goldberg, and
North Miami Mayor Joe Celestin.
This is were we welcome new members and also
celebrate the Police Officer of the Month. This is definitely
the place to meet your new clients and shake hands with long-trusted
customers.
Card
Exchanges:
What do Roadhouse Grill, MOCA, and Cosco have in common?
They’re all members of the Greater North Miami Chamber of Commerce
and each has hosted a chamber business card exchange in recent
months.
These informal gatherings, held after regular business hours, allow
you a monthly chance to mingle with other chamber members and market
your business at no cost. Develop new leads. Learn of
special discounts you can enjoy from other members. But
whatever you do, bring plenty of business cards.
Golf
Tournament:
Miami Shores Country Club’s historic, 18-hole golf
course hosts this annual tournament that benefits the chamber and
Johnson & Wales University Scholarship Fund. This past May, some
130 golfers raised more than $7,000 for both causes.
Sponsor a hole, have your business field a
team, or join us for the festive 19th hole when it’s
all over. But don’t miss this opportunity to network in the
most lucrative venue outside the boardroom.
Scholarship
Pageant:
Each year the Chamber sponsors a scholarship
pageant naming Miss North Miami. This year’s winner, Carron
Grant, was to compete in the Miss Florida pageant that will lead to
Miss America.
This community-based event allows you a chance to showcase your
business through advertising or sponsorship. The goodwill
alone will comeback many fold.
Through generous help from its members, the
Chamber has given away more than $100,000.00 in scholarships over
the past 37 years!
Taste of
North Miami:
Holiday season in North Miami can mean only one
thing. That’s right, Festive food and lots of it. Each
December, the Chamber opens its doors, literally, to all in the
area. Local restaurants supply a variety of good eats that
attracts hundreds from the community. The only one missing is Santa.
Whether
or not you’re in the food or hospitality industry, you’ll want
to make sure your business participates in this annual event.
