On Tuesday, October 2, 2007, the Greater North Miami Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Installation & Awards banquet with over 200 dignitaries, chamber members and friends in attendance.
James Bednar of Bednar Designs International once again worked his magic and transformed the Miami Shores Country Club into a “Diamond Jubilee” to celebrate our 60 years of service to the business community and South Florida.

It was a sight to behold with diamond studded crystal pillar centerpieces topped with an enormous bouquet of white and purple flowers! The cocktail reception and silent auction began at 6:00pm with hors d'oeuvres provided by North One 10 Restaurant and the Miami Shores Country Club and dinner was served at 7:30pm.

This year's recipients were as follows: Large Business of The Year Award was presented to St. Catherine's Rehabilitation Hospital by last year's recipient, Boca Developers; Small Business of the Year Award was presented to Javan Lumber by last year's recipient, Nanay, Inc. and The Entrepreneurial Spirit Award was presented to North One 10 Restaurant by Chamber President, Mayor Kevin Burns. Congratulations to the newly elected Officers installed for a new term by Judge Myriam Lehr. They are: President, Mayor Kevin Burns; 1st Vice President, Michael Stahl; 2nd Vice President, Kathy Clements; Treasurer, Joel G. Galpern, C.P.A.; Secretary, Tony Prada.

The Chamber Installation Committee would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of our Sponsors, Silent Auction Contributors, Table Sponsors, Chamber Members, Dignitaries and the Country Club staff for making this evening so successful.

The Newsletter Committee has taken steps to make your newsletter more interactive, be a part of it and submit your articles. We meet the second Thursday of each month at 5:15 pm at the Chamber's office, everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
